English in pre-school and primary education
Do you teach young children between 3 and 8 years old (even up to 9)?
If yes, you will know, because you see it daily, the extraordinary potential of children during these years. They have the ability to naturally and intuitively assimilate things, when conditions are optimal.
Depending on the country and the level, teachers are repeatedly asked to teach their pupils or to awaken their pupils’ interest in English.
Oftentimes, teachers are not always trained or supported in this process, and it is complicated to implement English languages courses in their classroom. Choosing a course, missing material or occasionally not having the budget available may impede this.
Time is often short, and English can come second to other subjects that may be considered more “important”.
